Day 18 of 47 for Lent Plan

God, I have been enjoying the bible reading plan You have been walking me through. I’m sorry to be so late getting them on, but with Your help we’ll get them on little by little.
No rush. Just convalescing with You, and following Your lead in sharing with others.
YouVersion (a bible app You have blessed me with)
is doing a plan called Lent: Remembering the Life of Jesus.

Day 18 of 47 for Lent Plan – “Miracle: Jesus Transfigured On Mountain”
Reading: Matthew 17:1-13, Mark 9:2-13, Luke 9:28-36 KJV

Further Study

  • Why do you think Peter, James, and John “fell facedown to the ground, terrified” at what they saw? (Reference Exodus 3:5)
    – They were afraid when they heard the voice of God.
  • What command did God give them in the cloud regarding Jesus?
    – To listen to Jesus.

Reflect

  • Worship: Write down one attribute of God and worship Him for who He is.
    – HOLY! You are Holy, Lord God Almighty! ❤ Praise Your Holy name! ❤
  • Prayer: Pray for Your closest friends.
  • Remembrance: Think of a time when you were astonished by something God did for you. Write about that and how it impacted your life.
    – He allowed me to be the mom of this precious little boy. God trusted me to take care of another human being. He allowed the most gorgeous eyes and little pair of arms to call me Mom. God sent me two little arms to hug and hold me. God trusted me with a little boy who loved me unconditionally.
It changed my whole life, my way of thinking, and so much more. God used Anthoni to teach me of His love for me, as well as His role  as my Heavenly Father. He helped me to grow strong, to have purpose, and answered prayer. I prayed for Anthoni. I wanted a child back to You, God. You honored that prayer in complete amazement!
  • Self-Examination: Do you find yourself regularly obeying God even if it goes against what your heart desires?
    – I pray that I quickly and faithfully obey in everything, regardless the cost. What Jesus did for me wasn’t a cake walk for You, God, in the sense that it meant watching Your only begotten Son be mocked, ridiculed, persecuted, betrayed, arrested, falsely accused, whipped, scourged, spat on, made a joke, stripped of His garments, gambled over, crowned with thorns that dug into His head, mailed to a cross by His hands and His feet, abandoned, agonizing in the garden while crying out to His Heavenly Father, pierced in His side, dead from the weight of the sins of the world, buried in a borrowed tomb, unable to be consoled or hugged until the Sabbath was over to fulfill what He was separated from You for.
Obedience is the LEAST I can do for both of You.

A Kind Act

  • If you encounter someone at a store who is doing great work, tell their manager.

Beautiful and Festive Display

gaillovesgodspoetry

Sparkles of light in the misty air.
Ribbons of color dance with flair.
Glitter glistens and shimmers in the light.
Snowflakes fall in the cool of the night.
The wonder of winter at Christmas time
Delightfully brightens the playful chime.
What a beautiful and festive display
Of the Holy and majestic day.
The precious Child born a King,
With Godly love and salvation to bring.
A path of pain and tears he’ll bear
To give the greatest gift to share.
Eternal Life is ours to receive.
All we have to do is just believe.
Join the angelic host in singing.
Hear the Hallelujah bells ringing.

Reconciled By Love

gaillovesgodspoetry

From the moment You found me
And introduce me to Your love,
I have been a child of the King
And bound for my home above.
In mercy You reached down to me,
In the depth of my ugly sin.
You opened Your precious vein
And let Your cleansing blood pour in.
Rescued by my Savior,
I find in Your eyes.
You teach me to do good,
And evil to despise.
For by Your death,
We were reconciled.
We were made Holy.
There is no more guile.
For it was life, Your resurrected life
That gave me a choice.
I gladly accept
And lift up my voice.
“Yours! I’m Yours!
And You are mine!
Thank You for being
So loving and kind!”

Alas, I’m Home

gaillovesgodspoetry

Alas in sight, I see
A home prepared for me.
Cloudless skies and stormless days.
Enjoying a view with a heavenly haze.
The voice of God clear and strong
Conducting His choir with angelic song.
Crystal seas glisten bright.
Streets of gold reflect His Light.
Familiar faces soon appear.
Some were souls once so dear.
Dearer more, now they are
Always a part of my heart.
Dearest yet, my Sweet Jesus Christ!
Waiting to welcome home His bride.
Friends for life, death, and resurrection.
He is my Greatest expectation.
Alas I’m in His Holy presence,
Basking in His Holy essence.

4.4.18 Update: Kimberly’s PCT Hike

For all of those who are helping me pray for Kimberly (aka Legs) as she hikes the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail), this is an update.

Tomorrow Is Day One was her introduction to her beginning for this incredible hiking journey. I will no longer be reblogging, but will give updates instead.

I will be using this picture for you to identify the updates on her hike in the Reader.29511773_2055391427809044_3113805081282536436_n

**You also will remember that I always make sure to put a heads up about the language that could make you uncomfortable.**
That is what this particular post is regarding. Because I have hundreds of families and friends who are missionaries, evangelists, pastors, worship leaders or are in some form of ministry, and because a great majority of them have children who are active in reading posts, e-mails and whatever forms of greetings and/or communications, I want to be mindful in not filling up their feeds with offensive material.

It is NOT to come across as judgmental on Kimberly or to discourage her!!

Particularly in this post is a topic a lot people simply don’t realize is extremely offensive. It is actually thought to be “keeping it clean” or simply not given a second thought (or first) to even be an issue. Using the word Holy with anything other than something you mean to refer to as being Holy, and IS genuinely Holy is considered offensive to God (or more specifically the Holy Spirit). Just as using God’s name with anything other than something you mean to refer to God with in a reverent way is offensive to God.

“Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”
– Exodus 20:7 KJV

Many people either have no idea of an issue, while most even have the best of intentions by believing not adding a cuss word or anything vulgar is being respectful, humorous, or simply keeping it clean. A lot Christians do this as well. I use to think like this too, having no clue that it is so important to God… the one I love and do not want to offend. While it is horrible to hear or read intentional offense, it is just as offensive to read God’s Holy Spirit being used as a punch line, or inconsiderate adjective or adverb.

“Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”
– Matthew 12:31-32 KJV

“And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not beforgiven.”
– Luke 12:10 KJV

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”
– Ephesians 4:29-30 KJV

For this reason, I will give you updates, instead of just reblogging. I thank you so much for praying for my cousin as she walks from Mexico to Canada! I thank you too for knowing that this is in no way meant to be judging my cousin, or causing a debate. I have many family and friends who use far worse language. While I am to be careful in what I see, read, and do, I am also called be like Christ in loving one another. Christ walked among men… lived among us… and still lives among us… regardless of our imperfections. Vulgarity can come in many forms. When He leads me to pray for someone, to encourage them, or to simply be present in a part of their journey in life, I am to simply do that… pray… encourage… or simply be there… not to judge.

I love my cousin, and I love each one that God gives me to remind them of just how much God loves them, sometimes letting someone know for the first time ever. God’s love can be hard to know, understand, or felt if all one receives is judgment and offense. The most important thing God wants to let us know is…

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
– John 3:16-17 KJV

So until the next update, keep walking with Him, and keep walking in His love! ❤

Me and God love you, Kimberly (aka Legs!) ❤
Me and God have faith in you! ❤

You Are Still Worthy

Tabernacles, sacrifices, offerings and more
are what use to please You,
but since the law was fulfilled
what are we to do?
Of course much is the same
in obeying You, God.
But You cry, “Don’t go back to Egypt!
Have you so quickly forgotten?”
You want a relationship
built on faith and love,
but You are still Holy
and reign from above.
Help us to know Your will
and allow us to be pleasing.
You are so worthy of honor
that should never be ceasing.
