Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award 6.24.2020

Oh Dear Lord! Yay! Praise Your Holy name for allowing me to find one of my lost Tags and Awards. It has been so depressing losing awards, tags, posts, comments, and more. It makes me feel so rude, negligent, and careless, and most importantly makes me afraid the one who thought of me will think I did not care about their kindness. How incredibly wrong they would be.
Thank You for the heart of Jevannel of Jevannel Academy, who nominated me for the Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award. She was so sweet and merciful to not be upset with me, but instead was excited with me in finding the post! 🙂

Thank you, Jevannel, for your thoughtfulness in the nomination of the Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award back in in June, and thank you for your extended kindness in being happy with me in finding the nomination! Your mercy is added joy, as it allows me to reflect on the loving mercy of God. He too celebrates with us when we finally meet Him on the same page in different moments of our lives. May the Lord continue to bless you and your blog!
Me and God love you! 🙂

The Rules:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you with a link to their blog.
  2. Make a post of the award (with a photo of the logo).
  3. Post the rules.
  4. Ask 5-10 questions of your choice.
  5. Nominate 10-30 other bloggers (or more) and notify them.
  6. Follow Vincent Ehindero @vincentehindero.wordpress.com
(to qualify for a free blog promotion and shout out and more blogging opportunities)

Jevannel’s Questions for Me:

1) What is your writing style?
Keeping it all about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! ❤

2) Do you plan your blogs or is it more freestyle?
They are more freestyle and poetry, and anything the Lord gives me to share.

3) What is it that you enjoy most about being a blogger?
Being able to share the love of God with others. Everyone needs to know how much God loves them! ❤

4) What is the best piece of advice you have ever received from someone?
To give my heart and life to my Jesus! ❤

5) Do you see yourself blogging in 5 years?
If that’s what the Lord wants… see ya then. 🙂

6) What has been the highlight of this year?
Witnessing God confirming His word to me every single day. He made it clear in November when I was so sick to convalesce with Him….
: to recover health and strength gradually after sickness or weakness
not just in that month, but He made it clear He wanted it for the whole year, and to share with others to do the same. I would have never dreamed something like COVID would happen to make it hard to do anything else. I have felt His confirmation all day and night… and His sweet whispers… and His smile to know I am listening. He is my health and strength! ❤

7) What do you miss about last year?
Being able to go to church and the ladies bible studies.

8) If you could change one thing what would it be?
That everyone would come to know just how much You love them, Jesus! ❤

9) Would you encourage your kids to become bloggers?
My son is already a blogger at Inner Man Theatre! 🙂
He was a blogger before I was, and has helped me quite often! He encourages me! 🙂 I absolutely try to encourage him as much as the Lord allows.

10) If you could snap your fingers right now and change one thing about the world what would that one thing be?
That Jesus would have won every heart and have us all home with Him, the Father, and the Holy Ghost! ❤

Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award 5.3.2020

“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
– 1 John 1:6-7 KJV

How sweet You are, dear Lord, to allow such kindness to continue to flow my way, and to allow that kindness to overflow towards others. How Fatherly You are to allow such sweet fellowship among sisters. You’re a good Father. A wonderful Father. A heavenly Father. Though the paths have not always been going the same way, You allow the same Light to shine our way, and at times design our paths to cross yet again. How delightful it will be when all our paths reach the same destination, and the circle will be unbroken!

To my dear sisters that I have nominated as Tangie of MRS. T’S CORNER nominated me for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award, the Lord has allowed me a long time prayer in being able to look back through names that I just don’t seem to see any more so that I can say hello, how are you, and pray for you. I pray you are doing well during this COVID-19 Pandemic. I’m not sure how WordPress decides whose posts we do or do not see, but I thank God for allowing Tangie to give me this opportunity to seek you out. God has given Tangie a spirit of generosity. You would really enjoy her blog… MRS. T’S CORNER.sister-blogger-imageThank you, Tangie , for allowing God to use a little whisper in your ear to allow me an opportunity to share with sisters who have been a treasured part of my journey with God in this blogging community. I am thankful God has made you, each of these ladies, those who have not been blogging for awhile, those who left altogether, and those reading one large community, and that one day we will finally be free of all that keeps us burdened, sickened, wearied, and separated. What a day that will be! How beautiful haven must be! ❤

RULES:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you with a link to their blog.
  2. Nominate up to 30 bloggers and give them 10 questions to answer.
  3. Answer the 10 questions from person who nominated you.

Tangie’s Questions for Me:

  1. Ladies, how were you inspired to blog?
During a difficult living situation God gave me a place to talk with Him one on one, and in private. He then led me to encourage a friend by doing a challenge on her blog. At the same time He led me to trust Him with changing my private settings to public. So far so good.
  2. Ladies, how long have you been blogging?
    4 years
  3. Ladies, is blogging your full-time job?
    No
  4. Ladies, how does blogging inspire you?
It amazes me that God can take what we think is ranting and or doodling with words, and allow others to write and comment how it inspired them, comforted them, encouraged them, or as they often write…. was just what they needed. And then to add the cherry on top, He creates a Blogging family also known as a Blogging Community! ❤ God is so generous! ❤
  5. Ladies, are you encouraged by fellow bloggers?
Absolutely! I thank God for each one! ❤
  6. Ladies, do you actively blog (more than three times a week)?
Depends. I blog as the Lord allows. It’s HIS blog.
  7. Ladies, have you ever considered closing your blog site?
I once did when we began to have the fake email onslaught a couple of years ago, and then when I started continuously receiving hundreds of spam mail (mostly porn ads). WordPress has not been able to do anything about these issues. It was absolutely only the blogging community (more precisely MY blogging friends) that led me to stay on. I would have deleted every single post and poem, but God reminded me of why I blog….. It’s for Him! It’s to encourage others. It’s to pour my heart out to Him with the same struggles others have. So I make sure to make settings strict, pay to keep ungodly ads off the blog, and just trust Him. If He says leave, I will leave just as obediently as I have stayed for now.
  8. Ladies, are you excited when blogging?
Sometimes…. especially when able to share awards with others!
It allows me to share a little of God’s love! ❤
  9. Ladies, when is the best time for you to blog?
When the Lord is leading and allowing. When He speaks, I try to listen and obey.
  10. Ladies, do you sometimes feel addicted to blogging?
I have experienced the stress of feeling like I needed to keep up, but then again the Lord reminds me I am not here to impress anyone, to deceive anyone, to pressure anyone, or to do anything that would take away sharing God’s love with others, or turn what is supposed to be a blessing into stress. I don’t focus on numbers, or tricks to get someone to the blog or to make them click. I write it, and leave it to God…. literally… I just leave on the page. And I leave it to deliver or post in its full format.
It’s like when someone comes to church. You don’t want to play trivia games or try to “lure” them to come back. You are to welcome, encourage, and teach in your own obedience to the Lord, and leave the rest to the Holy Spirit. It is about Jesus. Not me. Not the people. Not a denomination. Not the church. Not a religion. So make everyone opportunity God gives to just be and do what He gives YOU! 🙂

“And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God:
but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see,
and hearing they might not understand.”
– Luke 8:10 KJV

The mystery of a loving and caring Father… it’s a wonderful thing to know even a part of You, God. Thank You, Holy Spirit for allowing me to see, to believe, and to receive! Please help those who need Your Spirit to see, to believe. They have no idea what they are missing. Help them to find their way to You. I know You love them so! ❤

4. Have you seen what some people are doing for social distancing?!?😂😂
Yes. I am fascinated to see how creative people are getting. Like a group of family and friends still having a gathering by meeting in their own cars and trucks, turned around with tailbacks up and tailgates down, and each grilling their own food, yet all in good distance. It reminded me of when we use to go to the drive in early to picnic or grill out, and let the kids play while we just sat around talking. 🙂 God is awesome in what He allows us to do together. Love one another. 😉

Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award 4.6.2020

“As cold waters to a thirsty soul,
so is good news from a far country.”
– Proverbs 25:25 KJV

Lord, how delightfully surprising You are. This particular award is interesting. I first received an open invitation from Dawn of Drawing Closer to Christ  for the Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award. While I was praying about it, I received a nomination from Tangie of Mrs. T’s Corner for the Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award. I noticed the rules were different, so I went to the page of the creator of the award… Vincent of Vincent Ehindero to see the rules on the original Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award. So to show my appreciation for all 3, I will use Dawn’s nomination date since I received it first on 4.9.2020, answer Tangie’s questions, and use Vincent’s rules not only because he did create the award but because it allows for 30 nominations! 🙂
I could tell from Vincent’s site and enthusiasm that he likes to share good cheer too. We all really need as much cheer as we can get during this COVID-19 pandemic. And Lord, You are the One who encourages me to share these awards as a way to share a little of Your love. So 30 it is!! 🙂 They need to know how much You love them! ❤

Thank you, Dawn, for openly sharing God’s blessings!
Thank you, Tangie, for the nomination that will allow me to share a little of God’s love with others!
Thank you, Vincent, for creating the award which allows me the joy of sharing a little but much needed cheer with others.
May the Lord bless each of your blogs and your ministries.

God loves you, Dawn!
God loves you, Tangie!
God loves you Vincent!

Barnabas Award 2.27.2020

“And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.”
– Acts 4:36-37 KJV

Dear, Lord! How Encouraging You are! You are my Consolation! Every day! How blessed I am to be Yours! Thank You for thinking of me and whispering my name to Charity of Confessions and Thoughts of a Reluctant Preacher’s Daughter to nominate me for The Barnabas Award. Bless her and her blog, Lord! ❤

Thank you, Charity, for nominating for The Barnabas Award! Your name is very fitting! You are filled with love for others! I am blessed that you have shared with me! 🙂
May the Lord continue to bless you and your blog! Me and God love you! ❤BARNABAS AWARDHere are the guidelines:

– Thank the person who nominated you and share their blog.
– Think of five bloggers that encourage and inspire you and nominate them.
– List five things about yourself.
– Answer the questions you got asked.
– Lastly, ask your nominees five questions. Why five? Because it is the number that signifies grace.

“You have been chosen for this recognition because of the encouragement and inspiration you bring to your readers.”

5 Things About Me

1. I love my Abba Father! ❤
2. I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! ❤
3. I love my Holy Comforter! ❤
4. I love God’s Holy Word! ❤
5. I love God’s hymns! ❤

Charity’s Question for Me

1. What inspires the topics you write about on your blog?
The love of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! ❤

2. Who is the person that encourages you the most?
My precious Holy Spirit ❤

3. What Bible verse inspires you the most?
I have so many! I love God’s word! But the one He currently brings to mind is the one above regarding Barnabas because I have been told by so many that I am a Barnabas.

I first did not understand what that meant and was told that it meant I was an Encourager. When I later read God’s word referring to Barnabas as the son of Consolation, that touched me so because many need encouragement and consoling. If the Lord gives me even a small part in encouraging one or consoling one, praise His Holy name! ❤

4. Who was your mentor growing up?
I wasn’t really much of a “hero” kind of child. The closest anyone came to being anything like a mentor to me would have been my granddad who died when I was 8, and then my dad. In my teenage years I had a few teachers who made it a point to mentor me. I am grateful to God for each one!

5. As a blogging community, how can we encourage one another more?
Communicating our love for God!
Communicating God’s love to one another!
Patience and kindness to one another.

My Questions for My Nominees

  1. Do you know how much God loves you?
  2. What is a fond childhood memory that comes to mind?
  3. What encourages you?
  4. How do you console others?
  5. How does the love of God encourage and console you?

Gifts 2017 #12 (200 Followers, 5,000 Views)

Christmas Countdown: God’s Favor is a gift. I intentionally added the 200 Followers and 5,000 Views so those of you who have been so kind to stop by gaillovesgodblog will know how thankful I am for you, and to praise God for His favor in allowing such growth to happen. I know it’s customary to celebrate every 100 followers, every 1,000 views and other moments, and I know I’ve not done this. I’m not doing gaillovesgodblog for numbers. I did not want to gloat about something that belongs to the Lord. But the Lord has used you to affirm He wants His whispers heard around the world. The hundreds of comments on blogs that have touched you, taught you, inspired you, but more importantly clearly stated that God used it… for whatever reason you commented… THAT is what it’s all about! So let God have His way!
Please hear me say THANK YOU as this week the blog hit 200 people who have signed up to follow every single post, and 5,000 views of the conversations between me and God (some just about Him). You have allowed God to affirm His favor on the very thing I simply followed Him by obeying His whispers. God deserves ALL His glory! HE has allowed this blog to prosper with followers, views, likes, awards, comments, and new friends all over the world! HE has allowed the poetry blog to be just a few views shy of 1,000 already. I am amazed how the poetry has also received so many comments of the God using them… even reblogging. God NEVER ceases to amaze me.
Lastly, I must praise Him for prompting Lene (aka LeneinJapan) to invite me to guest write on her Song of Virginity blog, to give my testimony. Her blog celebrates purity, whether it be as a virgin or a Christian who has been redeemed from an impure past. I was afraid to mess up my testimony, insult God, or tarnish her site. By praying, listening, and obeying God, my testimony Love of My Life – I am His Song TRIPLED the blog numbers in just a couple of days… and kept it growing. Only God’s favor could do that! Praise His Holy and Favorable name!! ❤

While Australia is just a dream, I guess a neighboring county or two would do.

About The Awards

This post is a note of thanks and, Lord willing, helpful as I have learned how important they are to many. It may even be helpful to those who try to avoid them.

First things first… Thank you, God, for delightfully surprising me with such an outpouring of love. It’s all about you, so I consider it all crowns to lay at your feet!
May you bless each one that has brought praise to the whispers that you gave!

Secondly, praise God for all of you who allowed God to use you to shower me with His blessings! I have the privilege of knowing such lovely friends.

About the awards… There are people waiting for their first award! I read comments from others who have been waiting… for years??? I was surprised as I saw them all over. One person had a page for his awards AND the count of each because he had over 100. I know that makes you think they’re easy to get, and that they’re “a tag game” as I’ve seen them referred to. But if you think on the number of WordPress bloggers and that someone has to be nominated, you see they are genuine in the community. It’s an honor when a fellow blogger takes time and thought to nominate someone. And that’s the thing.

There are blogs that don’t do awards, that is they don’t display badges, follow posting rules, and nominate other blogs. That is okay! Many are very professional, or very personal, or have something too unique to “play the tag game”. I get it. But something that I found helpful in wanting to nominate a blog was some bloggers had pages (or messages on home page) showing awards, or that they weren’t interested. I’m trying to do the same, so if someone sees I have already won an award (like the Mystery Award from Lovely A 🙂 ), they can select another blogger. I have widgets (down on the right hand side of my blog) and categories hoping they help. I’m still learning. 🙂

I know many of you are busy, and the Awards can be stressful IF and only IF you allow them to be. No one has to accept them, but if you do, just do them at your own pace. I say this so those of you who think they don’t matter realize they do. Think of what your LIKEs and FOLLOWS mean to you, then imagine how someone feels to be nominated by another blogger saying I RECOGNIZE your blog. It might be just a community Award, but you have the privilege to share that community love with anywhere from 7-15 other bloggers in one award (depends on the Award).

Again, this is just to encourage those who are given the privilege to nominate others to consider the ones waiting. If you don’t wish to display a badge on your site, just do a post on so you can nominate. If you do not wish to be nominated, you may consider a note for your blog (and my memory, ty for being so merciful). I know I’m humbled that what starts as a private whisper from God’s ear to mine, or from my heart to His ear, would any way bless someone else. Praise God for using me at all!

WHETHER YOU’RE PRIVATE OR PUBLIC,
BUSINESS OR PERSONAL,
DO AWARDS OR NOT,
HAPPY BLOGGING EVERYONE!
❤ ❤ GOD LOVES YOU!! ❤ ❤

Versatile Blogger Award 9.18.17

Lord, following your lead to read and encourage those who read and follow what you give me, I found blessings. Lebana and her Lebana’s Journal had been honored with the Versatile Blogger Award (Congratulations, Lebana! 🙂 ), and I was so excited for her! She is so honest in her posts. I love her boldness in her blog that dares others to get to know her. You know her better than anyone else, and know just when to encourage her with this award! While reading her blog I found that Lebana had nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award! God, that is just like you!  Encouraging the encourager! ❤

Beauty Beyond Bones (Caralyn)
Happy Sky 7311 (A.C.)
The Perks of Being Different (Andrea)
A Poet’s Paradise (Arianna)

7 FACTS ABOUT MYSELF YOU MAY NOT KNOW:
1. My favorite dish is Spasagna! A Lasagna with spaghetti baked inside it! Mmmm!
God allows such delicious things in life!
2. I’ve had the love and privilege of… swimming, dancing, biking, baseball, cheerleading, basketball, walking, walkathons, running, backbends, and one handed cartwheels.
3. One of my new favorite songs is Stronger for It by Lordsong. I don’t have the kind of faith it takes to sing the chorus. It strengthens me with humbleness and conviction.

4. Another new favorite is Called Me Higher by Northland Church. It touches home with a fear I have every time I even thinking of having to go back out into the world. I don’t want to leave being alone in the arms of my God. But He bids me, “Go.” I follow.

5. My favorite stanza of Amazing Grace is
The Lord has promised good to me. His word, my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be as long as life endures.

6. When I was 6 years old, a man on the church bus named Mr. Farlough told me if I learned a verse he gave me, he would give me a jump rope. I got the rope the next ride! Unfortunately I didn’t understand that verse for years, but it was more valuable than that rope that didn’t last long. God gave me a chance to thank Mr. Farlough with a testimony in my early 30’s. He remembered me! I remembered John 3:16:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.

7. When I was 18 years old, God blessed me with the most loving pair of little arms, the most gorgeous pair of brown eyes, the most beautiful head or curls, and the brightest smile to light my life every day! God is so generous! ❤ He gave me my son Anthoni!

Real Neat Blog Award 9-5-17

Thank you, Arianna, for letting God use you to send tender loving thoughts my way! I am encouraged when I visit your site A Poet’s Paradise by your heart for God. You have so much love for Him. I know I have a sister in Christ!

screen-shot-2019-02-26-at-5.42.45-pm

The Rules For The Real Neat Blogger Award
1. Put the award logo on your blog
2. Thank the people who nominated you, linking to their blogs
3. Answer the 7 questions asked by the person who nominated you
4. Nominate any number of bloggers you like, linking to their blogs
5. Let them know you nominated them (by commenting on their blogs, etc.)
6. Ask your nominees 7 questions

Answering Arianna’s Questions For Me:
1. Why did you start your own blog?
God has made me a writer since I was 9. Whether it be poetry, journal, or short story, I need to write for my sanity. Having no privacy was suffocating me. WordPress seem to offer a way to breathe. Following God’s lead, I have just been trying to get down and share what He whispers. I love it when He does! I NEED IT! ❤
2. Is there anybody you look up to? If there is, who is that person?
Christ is who I look up to. He was a real person, as He had taken on flesh to feel pain for me! He loved me so much that He gave up His comforts of heaven to take my punishment with His blood that poured out on the cross. Though I will try daily to honor Him, I know that I will never achieve what He did in self discipline. How can I not look up to Him! He causes my redemption to draw nigh! ❤
3. What animal do you think would be cutest if scaled down to the size of a cat?
A random question that brings to mind what an elephant must look like the size of a cat. I could just see that tiny little trunk roaring as though it’s still so mighty… lol.
4. Who do you go out of your way to be nice to?
Lord willing everyone.
“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.” – 1 John 4:7 KJV
5. Where do you get most of the decorations for your home?
As gifts from others, sometimes the store.
6. What are you interested in that most people are not interested in?
Learning and singing hymns. Not CCM or gospel. Hymns. Without any music but the melody that the Lord puts in my heart so I can call on the comforts and promises of God in the midst of a storm, or just lying in my bed singing to God.
7. What is the most hilarious joke you know by heart?
Two guys try to rob and old lady when she hollers, “Halt. Acts 2:38!” Later at the police station the cops ask the guys why they didn’t run from or try to hurt an old lady. One of the guys quickly speaks up, “Man, are you kidding?! That an old lady said she had an axe and two 38s!”
