The Glorious Servant
Coming to serve and save.
He is His Lord’s own Son,
The One He selflessly gave.
With every obedient task
He is fulfilling God’s plan
To redeem the remnant,
To reconcile man.
He relies on His God
To be His constant help.
He has not come
To serve Himself.
From the virgin womb
His name was known.
He came to seek and save the lost,
And make them His own.
He is hidden in the shadow
Of His Father’s hand,
Where our names are engraved,
In the palms that help us stand.
He is a Light to the Gentiles
And all who believe.
He frees prisoners and captives,
And darkness He does relieve.
This Holy One who is Faithful
Is glorious in His Father’s eyes.
To choose this Mighty Redeemer
Makes one wise.

My Proven Deliverer

Tested and proven
To be Faithful and True,
My obedient Deliverer
Was sent from You.
He follows Your word,
And trusts Your lead.
He knows You’ll provide
Every need.
He is Mighty and Strong,
Yet Gentle and Tender.
He’s the Alpha and Omega,
And the Wonderful Splendor.
He has delivered me from sin,
And defeated my foes.
He has carried my burdens,
And travelled my woes.
I will stay in His camp
Where I know You are.
I know He will safely deliver me
To our home afar.

Reconciled Remnant

A remnant, a people preserved.
They survive the famine and wars.
Captivity and bondage came,
But You will keep a promise of Yours.
Grace poured out, You endure.
You are patient and kind to wait.
You think we’re worth dying for,
And opening the gate.
Restoration and relationship
Are what You desire for us.
Thank You for reconciling us
Under the blood of Jesus.
Sheltered and cared for,
We rest in Your word.
We send prayers and love.
We know they are heard.

To simply obey,
To show I believe
In what You say.
The blessings that flow
From one to another.
Favor inherited
From brother to brother.
The choice of one
To simply disobey,
To blatantly disregard
What You have to say.
Consequences that flow
From one to another.
Curses inherited
From brother to brother.
Choices we make
Can affect each other.
Blessings or consequences,
We pass to another.

Lingering Life

Petals from the flower
Fall to the ground.
Seeds of life
Lay all around.
The grass so tall
Sways in the wind
Praising the Savior
Again and again.
Clouds and sunshine
Play in the blue sky.
Will it rain on life,
Or lovingly pass by?
Wings flutter and flick
Before they come to rest.
Butterflies, birds, and bees
Comfy in their nest.
The cool breeze lingers.
The flowers dance.
Isn’t this where we began
When God gave us a chance?

Missing You In Ink

Lord, Lord, Lord,
How I miss You in ink.
Those sweet Holy whispers.
That playful encouraging wink.
Your Spirit flowing through
My pen swiftly obeying,
Sharing with other souls
What You are saying.
Where is that path
That once was clear?
I know I’m on the right one.
I feel You here.
I know You are my Light
Guiding my path.
I know You provide my needs
In all that I hath.
It’s just this trail
Seems to go so long.
I sometimes wonder
Can I go on?
Yet I know You’re here,
And You’re leading the way..
Help me to hang on
For that peaceful day.
