Face to Face

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
– 1 Corinthians 13:12 KJV

Face to Face with Christ, My Savior
– hymn lyrics by Carrie Breck

Face to face with Christ, my Savior,
Face to face—what will it be,
When with rapture I behold Him,
Jesus Christ who died for me?

Refrain:
Face to face I shall behold Him,
Far beyond the starry sky;
Face to face in all His glory,
I shall see Him by and by!

Only faintly now I see Him,
With the darkened veil between,
But a blessed day is coming,
When His glory shall be seen.

What rejoicing in His presence,
When are banished grief and pain;
Death is swallowed up in vict’ry,
And the dark things shall be plain.

Face to face—oh, blissful moment!
Face to face—to see and know;
Face to face with my Redeemer,
Jesus Christ who loves me so.

Oh, Lord, how I long for that day when I shall see You face to face! To hug you! To Thank You! How loving and sovereign You are to banish grief and pain! To swallow up death with the victory of Your resurrection! The same resurrection that reconciles us! Never to be separated again! No other love has ever been so powerful! Thank You for going to prepare a place for me! Thank You for the promise I know You will keep in coming back for me! To take me home with You forever! Whenever You’re ready! ❤

Thank You for hymns! Such comfort for our souls! Peace that can only come from You! You are such a calm to my soul! Thank You for THIS hymn! For now I see through a dark glass, but soon I will see You face to face! And I will know You as You know me! To be known… like You know me! You will free me of myself! I will fully be who You made me to be! And I will be able see me the way You do! How I long for that blissful moment far beyond the starry sky! ❤

❤ I love You, Father! ❤
❤ I love You, Jesus! ❤
❤ I love You, Holy Spirit! ❤
