My Random Paragraph:
Years ago (in the 90s) when my son Anthoni (aka Inner Man Theatre) was a young boy, I had to go to a Convention with a community organization I was a part of and he could not go. Everyone had to be over 21, and the majority of those attending were going to drink. I was going to represent my chapter in meetings, but still it was no place to bring my little boy. He begged to go, but had to stay with my mom and dad. They tried to talk me into taking him, but finally understood when I explained the alcohol and night activities purely for “socializing.” All rooms were open for hospitality, even if I weren’t taking part my roommates were. The trip was Friday afternoon to Monday morning.me ans Anthoni.6yrsoldSaturday morning, my mom and dad surprised Anthoni by bringing him down. They weren’t sure if we would get to see him, but took the chance by driving the 4 hour trip with plans to find things to treat him with. By the grace of God, I was delightfully surprised to see him and able to follow them to the local airplane graveyard near the airport. We were able to make some awesome memories! It was just a few hours, but it was an awesome few hours! While I wish I could pull that sock up on his right leg, I LOVE that picture! See that smile! 🙂 My mom and dad’s random act of kindness allowed that to happen. God is so good!

WWord, Wonderful, Wise, just a few of Your names Lord.
You not only were the Word at the beginning,
and gave us Your Word to read and learn,
but You precious Lord, allowed me the gift of words,
their power to hide behind, to persuade,
relay a message, deflect from pain,
explain and encourage Your word and its power on me.
Words have been a part of saving my sanity,
and a safe place to escape since I was 9 years old in foster care.
And my favorite part of Your words flowing
through my life and my pen
is so often allowing me to look back and see…
I DO praise my God! I DO love Him and openly profess so,
and I DO take EVERYTHING to Him in prayer.
It might feel like whining to me at the time,
but He surely uses those words to allow me
to be the first to read and be blessed by them,
and to fight all that comes at me… inside and out.
And then! God! My Hero…
allows those very same words to encourage others!
Where I am ashamed to speak it even just on paper…
God magnifies Himself!
How do I know?
Words from others who tell me
how they are experiencing the exact same thing,
or have battled themselves,
or love You just as much in those words!
They see my love for You… THEY SEE YOU!
One of my favorite hymns is…

Wonderful Words of Life! ❤
lyrics by P. P. Bliss

“Sing them over again to me, wonderful words of life;
let me more of their beauty see, wonderful words of life;
words of life and beauty, teach me faith and duty:

Refrain:
Beautiful words, wonderful words,
wonderful words of life;
Beautiful words, wonderful words,
wonderful words of life.

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” – Proverbs 4:7 KJV

X – King Xerxes is a nickname in Your Bible for Artaxerxes.
The kids in my son’s bible quiz team use to love knowing this.

and the recent occipital nerve block.
They helped so much. Bless their Thanksgiving, Lord!
My son has a cousin named Xavier.
Who would think X could be a nickname… lol.
My stepdad has to sign an X even in this modern time
because of his remedial reading skills and poor eyesight. He’s 85.
“Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time.” – Ezra 7:12 KJV

YYAHWEH is technically not in Your King James Version of the Bible,
but “YOUR” people know it to be Your name.

Yellow roses are so pretty.
I am too am guilty of using the phrase, “Follow the yellow brick road”
when telling others to follow simple signs of directions…
most often in the hospital… lol. It puts a smile on their face. 🙂
“Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.”
– Psalm 138:5 KJV

ZZion reminds me of the gospel song “Is That the Old Ship of Zion?
Love it!
Zeal reminds of having a Zeal for You…
and Judas and Barabbas being Zealots…
which meant to be well intended,
but was taking away Your Authority to say when and how.
Zacharias was a poor fellow who did what the rest of us do sometimes…
doubt even the idea of what You speak. May we take You at Your Word.
” And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.” – Luke 1:18-20 KJV

Whew! Do You think anyone will still be reading this far, Dear Lord?
I am long overdue in giving You thanks.
You know I’ve been hiding behind copy & paste from FB memories.
It’s been so hard to talk lately,
but I did not want to go without praising and thanking You.
You did allow me to do a couple of genuine posts,
but You deserve praise.
And that’s the point in trusting You in opening the site to Public.
Please forgive me for not doing the tag sooner
so the nominees could have kept passing on
the opportunity to thank You even more.
I will nominate 3 as in the rules who I pray will keep it going,
but I have no idea who has done it already,
and it is already Thanksgiving.
Most will be celebrating with their families.
or wisely taking time away from the computer.
So I leave it to You. It is NEVER too late to Thank You!!

He Restoreth My Soul

Life can run so far away
with the sanity I need.
My traumatized nerves
begin to plead.
Yet one more thing rushes in
and threatens my cry.
Will my prayer be heard?
Will you pass me by?
“Of course not!”,
You lovingly chide.
“You know that I
am by your side.”
Your strong voice,
Your tender heart,
take me by the hand.
“We are never apart.”
My day washes away
and I become whole.
I am with my God.
He restoreth my soul.

A Pastor’s Love

A pastor’s love for his people.
A shepherd’s heart for his sheep.
He is so protective
With those he’s been given to keep.
A faithful prayer warrior.
A faithful attentive ear.
A servant ready to serve.
A friend who’s always near.
God’s man is always on duty.
He’s always on call.
Never leaving his flock,
Even when they fall.
Interceding for his fold.
Interacting with his people.
Strengthening the strong.
Carrying the feeble.

He Has Things All Planned Out

Our lives are planned out
by a God who has His own plans.
He doesn’t always tell us,
but He has us in His hands.
What we will accomplish
or what we will not,
whether it’s for ourselves
or what we desire for God,
is not always the same
as what He desires.
But trusting and obeying
are what He admires.
And what we pass on
or desire for our children
may not be the same
as how God will build them.
Yet they, too, have a plan
that God has personally designed
to love God
with all of their heart, soul, and mind.
Dear God in heaven,
as You plan my day
please make sure it includes You
in every way.

Thankful for ALL OF MY FRIENDS

Thankful for ALL OF MY FRIENDS
God gives us such a beautiful treasure
in being privileged with friends.
They make the garden of life
🙂 so much sweeter 🙂
Yet as blessed as we all are
to have friends and to be a friend…
Oh what a Friend we have in Jesus
“Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
– John 15:13 KJV
Jesus ‘s me and you my friends!!!! ❤

He Has Come to Dwell

My Lord and Savior, my Love of My Life! You cause me to fall more and more in love with You each day… and night! 😉

You and I were having alone time, and I was trying to bring my troubles to You in ink. So many times You whisper You’re ready to write, and in between that which vies for my mind and my desire to only give You perfection, I often times tend to tear it up. But this morning as I began to write this poem, something was starting to speak to me. And there You were… the Watchman! From the moment You arrived on the scene to the title You would give me in the last line, the message was clear… You are here to dwell.  ❤

He Has Come to Dwell

Memories that linger,
But not for their pleasure.
They stay at length,
But not for good measure.
Days that were endless
Remind me they’re long gone,
But nights that were relentless
Seem to stay strong.
Nightmares and visions,
Unwelcomed and uninvited
Keep me and serenity
Cruelly divided.
But there is a Watchman
Who guards at my chest.
My racing heart beat
Sends Him on a quest.
Angry with evil
For choking my world,
My Knight arrives
And draws His sword.
Peace, love,
And renewing thoughts.
My Savior has won
The battle He fought.
He has returned my night
And my sleep as well.
I’ve no more to fear.
He has come to dwell.

PS. You gave me the words to write this poem then had me think on Your hymn…
How Can I Fear With Jesus? by Ron Hamilton. As I began to sing it, I was in awe of how similar they were. It’s always been one of my favorite songs You led me to, but I have not listened to it in quite a bit.

How Can I Fear With Jesus? by Ron Hamilton

When shadows fall and the night covers all
There are things that my eyes cannot see.
I never fear, for the Savior is near.
My LORD abides with me!

How can I fear? Jesus is near!
He ever watches over me!
Worries all cease; He gives me peace.
How can I fear with Jesus?

When I’m alone and I face the unknown
And I fear what the future may be,
I can depend on the strength of my Friend!
He walks along with me.

How can I fear? Jesus is near!
He ever watches over me!
Worries all cease; He gives me peace.
How can I fear with Jesus?

Jesus is King! He controls everything!
He is with me each night and each day.
I trust my soul to the Savior’s control;
He drives all fear away!

How can I fear? Jesus is near!
He ever watches over me!
Worries all cease; He gives me peace.
How can I fear with Jesus?

You make me fall more and more in love with You each day.
No matter what comes (and it inevitably will),
it will have to face You, my faithful Savior who has come to dwell! ❤

Thankful for Moments of Hope

Thankful for moments of hope
that God so lovingly and delightfully
surprises me with:
loving people, Christ-centered souls,
completely non-prejudicial people,
newborn babies,
kind words from hurting strangers,
and so many things
that there is not enough room
on WordPress or in the world for them all.
Thank You for today, God!
Thank You for just being You…
and for making it so obvious.

Thankful for Missionaries!

Thankful for Missionaries!!
Servants who have given their lives to God…
in every way…
their safety… comfort… nourishment…
families… immediate and extended…
provision… freedoms… sanity… health… finances,
and so much more,
all to sends God’s love
to everyone that Jesus died for…
EVERY ONE!
Thank you, God,
for allowing me to witness
such faithful and selfless disciples!
